Florida Atlantic Football added a QB to their 2026 High school recruiting class on Sunday afternoon. Former McKinney HS and current Allen HS QB Jeremiah Daoud announced he would be beginning his high school career at FAU under the tutelage of Zach Kittley.
The 6 ‘3 200 pound lefty quarterback spent the first 3 seasons of his varsity career at McKinney High School in Texas, where this past season he completed 58% of his passes for 2192 yards, 19 TDs to 13 INTs, while also adding 5 more TDs on the ground.
In one of the most competitive football states in the Country, Daoud has been a fast riser in the QB rankings over the past few seasons garnering interest from multiple D1 programs including an early offer from North Dakota, however this past weekend he took a visit to FAU which ultimately led to his commitment.
It’s hard for recruits to leave paradise without commiting and according to Daoud, that was exactly what happened as he left the visit blown away with the coaching staff, faculties and family environment that FAU offered.
“The coaching staff and the family environment I felt on my OV (drew me to FAU). The campus and facilities are top-notch, and I could really see myself thriving there,” Daoud said.
What FAU provides in and of itself is enough to get recruits to commit on the spot occasionally, but for a quarterback, learning under Zach Kittley can be a huge draw.
Kittley has worked with the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Tyler Shough, CFB record holder Bailey Zappe and many more successful QBs at the College level and Daoud believes that not only being at FAU will help him thrive, but also learning from a QB savant like Kittley.
“Knowing Coach Kittley’s track record with quarterbacks like Tyler Shough, Bailey Zappe, and Patrick Mahomes was a huge factor. I’m excited to work with him and develop my skills in his system,” Daoud said.

Daoud is set to replace departing senior QB Brady Bricker at Allen High School next season, a school that finished 13-1 a season ago and is consistently one of the most competitive programs in the state.
QBs such as Kyler Murray and General Booty and many others have had success at Allen and Daoud hopes to be next in line, noting that this upcoming senior season is a valuable opportunity to improve multiple aspects of his game.
“For my senior season, my main goal is to lead my team to a championship. I want to improve my accuracy, decision-making, and overall leadership on the field,” Daoud said.

Following his upcoming senior season, Daoud will head to FAU currently as the only freshman QB committed in the class of 2026, which if it remains that way will give him a chance at earning a spot on the depth chart right away as a freshman.
Daoud is looking forward to being able to earn a role, but right away he hopes to find a way to make the team successful whether that is contributing on or off the field.
“When I get to FAU in 2026, I’m most looking forward to being part of the team, contributing to the program’s success, and experiencing college life in such a great location,” Daoud said.
Daoud becomes the 5th commit of the weekend for FAU, joining Tampa DBs Tyson Stroud and Eric Parks, Ohio TE Owen Pollock and Florida OL Alejandro Schmitt.
